Welcome back to another inspiring episode of Little Give. Today, I am so excited for you to meet a remarkable guest who has turned her own pain into purpose in the most powerful way. Kate Engler is a gut health coach, master esthetician, and Reiki master based in Rhode Island. Her journey has taken her from navigating bipolar II, anxiety, and PTSD to completely transforming her physical, mental, and emotional health through the gut brain connection. Now she is on a mission to help others heal from the inside out.

In this episode, Kate opens up about the years she spent heavily medicated, the moment she realized she needed answers that traditional doctors could not provide, and the deep personal quest that led her to uncover undiagnosed food sensitivities that were impacting not only her body, but her emotions and mental health. She shares how eliminating inflammatory foods brought dramatic improvements in her mood, clarity, and overall well being, and how this experience inspired her to become a certified gut health coach so she could help others experience the same breakthrough.

Kate also takes us inside the emotional side of healing. She explains how learning to feel again, regulate emotions, and work through unresolved trauma led her to become a Reiki master and pursue life coach training. She beautifully describes how true health comes from integrating physical wellness, emotional wellness, mental wellness, spirituality, relationships, and everyday life choices. Her passion for helping others grow shines through every word.

We also discuss her book Gut Feelings and her Healthier and Happier Gut Academy, where she breaks down complex science into simple steps anyone can follow. Kate’s ability to explain the gut brain connection in a relatable way makes this episode a must watch for anyone seeking clarity around their health or looking for ways to improve their well being.

Kate shares touching stories about motherhood, teaching her children the importance of giving back, and the emotional support she received at one of the hardest times in her life. She also highlights a nonprofit close to her heart, the American Kidney Fund, which provides financial and emotional support to families facing kidney disease, inspired by the loss of her brother in law.
